Professional Communication in the Digital World

In our ever changing world, technology has transformed the way we communicate and this includes how people interact with businesses. Your online presence is now your shop window.

This stimulating short course will enable you to evaluate your communicative practices and analyse your own professional digital communication. This will help you to maximise your digital presence and diagnose and remedy your own digital (mis)communication in the future. This is a three week online course with one-to-one tutor time built in.

Learning outcomes:

  • You will learn how to employ a wide range of digital technologies to build and maintain strong relationships with your colleagues and clients.

Practical tools to use straight away:

  • You will ldevelop the linguistic toolkits necessary to identify what makes communication effective, but also ineffective, in digital professional contexts.

What to Expect:

This short online course will take approximately 10 hours to complete. You will gain access to:

  • online learning content
  • activities involving the analysis of authentic digital professional interaction
  • an online community of fellow learners
  • one-to-one tutorials with course leaders

This course is eligible for 10 credits of accredited prior learning for a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) or Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) through the University of Nottingham.

This FREE online learning module can be accessed by one person per eligible SME based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire or Derby.
